The Continuing Saga of:

Great-Grandpa & Great-Grandma Rose

Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Rose met in Ada, Oklahoma some 60 years ago.  We began dating when she was only 13 years old (she told me she was 16, and tried to act 18)!
A couple years later and the onset of World War II, I left for the Army and was absent until returning from overseas in 1945.  We married 5 days after my return on August 20, 1945.
One year and one week later, your Great Aunt Sharon was born in Ada.  Your Grandfather Ed was born 3 years and one week later.  We were living in Wyoming at the time of his birth but he was born in Ada since we didn't have a doctor in the small town of Saratoga, WY at the time.  Here's the only site on the "net" that I can find of Saratoga:
We owned and operated a Grocery and Feed Store for about 5 years then sold it and a little later purchased a larger store in Laramie, WY.  After several years health caused us to sell that one and move to Fort Worth, tX where I attended an electronics school while working for a dictating machine company.  This company transferred me to Oklahoma City, OK.  After 11 months we formed a partnership with Ralph Dunn and began what was then called Audio Equipment Company (1956).  We operated as a partnership until he retired then we bought him out in 1963.
I don't recall the exact year that your Grandpa Ed came into the business but a few years later he hired your Grandma Ruth and she became our first successful female sales person.  (Publisher's Note:  I married Grandpa Ed!)
I underwent by-pass surgery that was less than successful because 15 month's later the problem reoccurred stepping up my retirement date by a couple of years.  At that time your Grandparents purchased the business now known as A.E.C. Solutions, Inc.
I imagine that by the time you read this, we will be history and the better part of a century will have passed since I was born.  We want you to know that we have had an enjoyable and sometimes hectic life together and only hope our descendants are as fortunate.  Maybe we will be able later to add more to the continuing saga of your Great Grandparents.
    We love you.
    Great-Grandpa &
    Great-Grandma Rose
P.S.    I am sure that by the time you read this both the language and the history will be quaint, to say the least, much love,
        "The Old Folks"
